Mass is a communication design group in flux: Define, shape, build, and invent. Brands, digital products, experiences, and ventures.
Stephan Valter is the principal of Mass. Trained at the multi-disciplinary State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart, Germany, he opened his own design practice in New York. The german-french designer started creating brand identities, packaging and consumer experiences for companies like Exxon, Coca-Cola, LVMH, and Diageo, before moving into digital design and technology.
Valter's design thinking is interdisciplinary and rooted in his mutations into new areas: technoloy, user interface and digital product design, animation and video, furniture and exhibition design. He is the co-founder of startup Nomi, a Smart Packaging and Internet-of-Things invention.
With Nomi, a smart packaging system for healthcare, Valter invented the remote tracking of consumption, a new data category with real-time metrics, analytics, and infinite marketing potential.
Mass designs: identity, packaging, smart retail, apps, UX, CX, BX, pill bottles, icons, furniture, night life products, animation, event design, brand language, advertising, video.
